WalkSafe app

A new application has been developed by university researchers from Darmouth College and the University of Bologna, which employs the camera of the phone to alert the user to any oncoming cars. The name is WalkSafe.
WalkSafe runs whenever user is on call, and uses image recognition and machine learning algortihms to detect whenever a vehicle is approaching user at 30mph or more, WalkSafe will be alerting the user by vibrating the phone and sounding an alarm through the earpiece. It is a good idea to help pedestrian walk safely. if you want to try, you can download WalkSafe free at Android Market.
