this new revamped typewriter titled Chromatic Typewriter by Tyree Callahan. The Washington-based painter gave a different functionality to an old-fashion writing machine, creating a piece that types mesmerizing organic shapes through colors.
Callahan altered a 1937 Underwood Standard typewriter by removing the letters and incorporating color pads and keys. This functional device is able to paint beautiful pieces filled with gorgeous and vibrant tonalities. This invention was submitted to the 2012 West Prize competition, which is an annual prize determined by the public.
